Wire and escrow safety
Criminals impersonate escrow, title, and brokers. They send emails that look real and change the bank account number. Once a wire leaves the bank, the money is often gone.
Do this
Get the escrow officer's name and phone at the start of the file from a call you place or a number you already trust. Never wire using account numbers that arrived only by email or text. Before any wire, call the trusted escrow number and read back bank name, routing number, account number, and amount. Do not use a new phone number printed inside an email.
Lorenzo Martinez, Broker will never send, change, or confirm wiring instructions by email alone. If an email looks like it came from Lorenzo about a wire, treat it as false until you call 661-384-8477.
In a transaction you will also sign C.A.R. Form WFA.
